Ashley Ohlson Stramp, ND

Hi, I'm Dr. Ashley Ohlson Stramp (she/her). I received my Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University in 2015. I am trained as a primary care physician but have a special passion for mental health, reproductive health, preconception and postpartum care, pelvic floor conditions, bodywork (craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, reiki) and parent education.

I received extra training in craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, kinesiotaping, homeopathy, and midwifery during my time at Bastyr. I have trained under a variety of naturopathic doctors, giving me a wide range of tools to help bring people to health.

Naturopathic medicine is based on the principles of teaching the patient, treating the whole person, getting to the root cause of illness, using nature as medicine, doing no harm, and using the body's innate ability to heal. My philosophy of medicine is guided by these principles. I practice knowing that neither you nor I have all the answers; instead, I will do my best to help guide you on YOUR path of wellness. You, however, are the one in the driver's seat.

My training is similar to an MD's, though my training focuses on using botanical medicine, physical medicine, hydrotherapy, nutrition, counseling, spinal manipulation, and the understanding that the mind, body, and spirit are connected to form a whole person. I have many tools in my doctor's bag to offer dynamic solutions for your obstacles to health. My training has also taught me how to work WITH your healthcare team, recognizing that often a patient has more than one provider.

In my spare time, I enjoy portrait photography, our Peloton, spending time with my husband, chasing my preschooler and toddler, and managing our many critters!
